Inter-process communication workspace w/ OpenText Process Suite #4

Written by Sascha Cutura | 30 June 2015

The workspace has been created with OpenText Process Suite (OTPS) platform version 10.6. You can use it without the need of any other application packages than the packages that are installed by default.

The workspace contains the following processes to illustrate the communication from the Send Message event to:

  1.        Parent Process

theParentProcess and theSubProcess, communication between parent and sub‑process.

  1.       Specific Process

FinishMe and CompleteFinishMe, using a Business Identifier to relate to the FinishMe process, and CompleteFinishMebyPID using the Process ID (PID).

  1.       Any Process

AnyProcessFinishMe and CompleteAnyProcessbyPID, using the PID to identify the process and using the input message of any web service operation to serve as the shared message between two completely unrelated processes.

Finally, two more processes, OrderHandling and CancelOrder will illustrate the business scenario described next.
